As the company continued to grow, consumer needs became increasingly diverse. Not everyone buys coffee for the same reasons. Some consumers seek the familiar taste they have known for years, others look for a more premium coffee experience, while a new generation brings different habits, preferences, and ways of connecting with brands.
One brand cannot always speak to every group in exactly the same way.
New Branches from the Same Root
For this reason, under the leadership of the fourth generation, Kopi Banyuatis began developing several sub-brands to reach market segments that had not yet been fully served: Nuswara Heritage Coffee, Kopi Siyup, Kopi Banyumuda, and Kopi Manik Sari. Each was created with its own character, identity, and target market.
However, this development did not mean leaving Kopi Banyuatis behind. On the contrary, Kopi Banyuatis remained the root from which the entire journey continued to grow.
From strong roots, a tree can grow new branches. Each branch may reach in a different direction, receive sunlight from a different angle, and eventually produce different fruit. Yet they all continue to grow from the same roots.
The same principle applies to our company. These sub-brands were developed to reach a wider range of consumers, while Kopi Banyuatis remains at the heart of our identity, history, and the trust that has been built over decades.
This principle became an important bridge toward the next chapter of our journey — a chapter in which the Banyuatis name would no longer be preserved only through family tradition, but would also be legally protected and organized within a more modern corporate structure.
